Legal procedure to collect business information for website

Hello ,

This is Swarupa. We want to design an advertising website in which we need to collect the information from all the business people. What is the procedure to collect? Do we need to get any authorized signature from them?Is there any legal document we need to follow?  we need just the name , the organization/ Shop name and their phone number. If they agree a photo. Nothing more than that. Its just like Just dial but only for our region.

Kindly suggest the  procedure to follow.

Thank you,

Swarupa.

1) If the information you seek is already in  the public domain - their address, website, e-mail id, business activity etc. you do not need any authorisation except a disclaimer that information taken from public sources and is not verified..

2) If you seek to publish information not publicly available - names and cell phone numbers of their Key Management personnel, for example, then you should ask such information and authorisation to publish the same from the Owner / Managing director of the Company.
