just getting frustrated for the conditions of the society is not enoough to change it.
just getting angry is not enough to change the system.
just getting cynical is not enough to change the system.
changing of the system is a scientific process as well as revolutionary process.the people's movements have to be created, harnessed and developed in scientific and as well as revolutionary method. it is the most complicated part and takes years together. in a fraction of moment these things cannot happen. in our educational system, never we have been taught how to collect the people facing the same problem together, how to make them think alike, act alike and move alike. we saw, people's revolts come and go away without achieving success, if they are not led by scientific and revolutionary method. do not underestimate the dual qualities of science and revolution in a people's movement. if the movement is confined to only scientific methods, it will gradually develop but fizzle out at the end stage, because it does not have thrust energy of revolutionary spirit to achieve its sucees. if it is only revolutionary and does not have scientific element, it also fizzles out and become a terrorist organisation. see the fate of naxalite movement. it has revolutionary spirit but does not have scientific understanding of the society. so for the last three decades, they have been confined to jungles and could never come open to the other parts of the country. in vidarbha, poor peasents are committing suicides, as they are not in a position to pay the paltry loan amounts to banks. all this is happening due to faulty agrarian policies of centre and state. but the naxalites cannot intervene and show the solution to the poor peasants, because they have no scientific understanding of developing a peasants movement in plane areas, patiently. developing peasants and workers movements and developing them real warriers is not a small thing. it requires a lot of patiencen and time. the leaders of those movements should develop scientific outlook and revolutionary zeal.
Take 1857 first independence movement. Even though it has got a revolutionary zeal, it does not have a scientific wherewithal to face the onslaught of colonial power. So, it was collapsed. see the sacrifices of shahid bhagat singh. he lived for india and died for india but he could not succeed to bring independence, because, due to his young age, he could not get the opportunity to learn how to create a mass movement and how to nourish it to bring the logical conclusions. In his last days in Jail, he wrote some letters, which would indicate that would he get opportunity to live longer, he would create peasants' movements to achieve their seccessional demands and turn the people gradually as freedom fighters. in his last days, he started to comprehend the necessity of mass movements armoured with scientific and revollutionary zeal.
take anna hazare's anti-corruption movement. i wish them luck. but i know with certainity, they fail. the reason is that their movement does not have the characteristic of science and revolution. even though people belong to middle class supported this movement wholeheartedly, this section of people do not have the necessary commitment to see it succeed. they cannot withstand to fight against the oppression that will be put by the state. the movement also financed by certain sections of the corporate bodies, who lost in the race of 2 G scam and other corruption scandals. they lost in tender processes and they failed to lobby the government for their own profit. some of them financed this movement. the movement, through out this period, ran in hapazard manner and even selection of committee members from civil society side also created a bad taste. these are the symptoms of a badly led people's movement which lacks the scientific approach and revolutionary zeal. despite all these things, i wish this lok pal bill come into act and it will be properly and honestly implemented for the betterment of common masses.
