Murder and punishment

the only punishment in offence of murder is death or life imprisonment. it is established that IQ of man differs from person to person so does vary the knowledge and other parameters of the character of a man. that is why in most of the offences the judge is given liberty to fix the punishment generally within a wide range. in case of conviction of murder there may be extennuating factors from the point of convicts like extreme poverty, illeteracy &c. but the judge has not but two options. sud murder, treason &c. be treated alike?

Respected Mr. Tapan,

Murder , treason are the heinous offences affecting  humanity. Such harsh punishments are quintessential for such offences. No illegal act shall be condoned for beign committed with legal object and motive. Therefore, they both should be treated alike.
