An ad hoc committee is a temporary committee established to resolve a specific issue. The ad hoc committee is typically appointed by executive leadership.

Ad hoc committees have different purposes, including but not limited to the following:

  • Solve problems
  • Develop ideas
  • Make decisions
  • Perform tasks

One may also be created as part of a larger project, such as a new strategic plan, or in response to a crisis. Once finished, the ad hoc committee is dismissed. If an ad hoc committee is needed on an ongoing basis, it becomes a standing committee.

Dear Sir

Many thanks for your valuable legal advice.

Kindky note that the adhoc committee is pertaining to the cooperative housing society and not a company.

Please enlighten your views again if possible.

Best regards

The same provisions of law would be applicable for the adhoc committee appointed for taking of the routine activities of the housing society as well in the capacity of care taker committee.
