Original suit prodcedure

Dear Learned Advocates,

We have filed an Original Suit in the Civil Court. At present, the suit stage is for trial ( to be specific-marking of Evidence Documents). When we had met our advocate last week, he told us that the case is alomost ending where the marking of the documents woud be done followed by arguemnets and judgements. I am confused because when we met him earlier, he told us that marking of documents followed by cross examination of the Respondents and then arguements would be done.

Please guide me with the proper procedure  to be followed.

After the documents are marked as exhibits, the opponent advocate shall cross examine the witness who deposed evidence.

Then on closing the evidence of both sides, the case will be posted for final arguments.

Thank you for the reply. Are you meaning that both the Plaintiff and Deponent  would be cross-examined ?

I hope I have understood it right.
