I am Pradipta,I am currently working in a Govt. of West Bengal undertaking since 15.03.2010 in the pay band 15600-39100,with GP-5400 and have been confirmed on 14.03.2011 .I have already got 2 increments and i am eligible for the 3rd one w.e.f. 01.03.2013.Now i have served a notice for resignation to the dept. in order to pursue my career in Govt. Of WB in the same rank,(i.e. Assistant engineer )and pay scale and GP.I had informed my dept. earlier regarding my application for appearing in the exam for selection in the said post.Subsequently upon the publication of result, in my resignation notice(3 months) i had mentioned , the dept i aspired to join.Now my question is will i get pay protection?and is it true that i need to join my next service immediately after being released from the previous service in order to be eligible for pay protection?
