I was appointed on probation as asst. professor in a govt. aided college in year september 2009. There was no mention of probation period, any conditions for termination in the appointment letter. I was given the pay scale as per sixth pay commission. I got termination letter in sept. 2011 saying that services are being terminated due to lack of work load as per ugc regulation of 30 june 2010. Probation period mentioned in UGC regulations 2010 is of one year. However college is saying that the old regulations are applicable to me as the appointment was in 2009 as per which probation was of 2 yrs. Since my appointment is in sixth pay commission are 5th pay commission rules applicable to me
