Property Registration

My father owns a self-earned property. How can he include my name (his son) in the sale deed? Also, I want to go for a home renovation loan for which my name should be there in the sale deed only then bank will give me a home loan. Can my father re-register the property including my name also so that new sale deed will have my father's name and also my name?

Your father cannot include your name in the original registered document nor re-register another to include your name, however, if you wish to go for a loan for home renovation then he can make you a co-owner by gifting part of the property by paying the requisite stamp duty and registering the document in your favour. Stamp duty and registration charges vary from state to state.
