Regarding election promises-karnataka election- the clippings enclosed

Dear Sirs,

I am a senior citizen of India. I am 76 years .

Now election is being held in Karnataka.

The political parties are giving promises , the clippings enclosed.

This way of promises,(ex free ration, monthly pension etc:) which is very clear from clipping, Are they not corruption?

This is the worst part of corruption, this is my opinion.

Do Indian law allows such type of corruption?

In my opinion, election promises are similar to "providing employment opportunity, More govt hospital, More Gvt school Etc:)

I REQUEST YOU LET ME KNOW THIS TYPE OF CAMPAIGN IS CORRECT..

THE CLIPPING ENCLOSED APPEAR ALMOST EVERY ALTERNATE DAYS.

I AM GRATEFUL IF YOU REPLY ME. IF IT IS NOT CORRECT, HOW CAN YOU ENFORCE LAW ?

Thanks

C S Ramananda

There is no law prohibiting the political leaders to make promises during election campaigns, this is part of their election manifesto.

If it is objectionable then the election commission can very well take action to stop this menace, but since it is not considered as a violation of the elction process, you cannot do anything about it except to  watch the developments as a silent spectator.

All are citizerns of India, hence you cannot claim that your fundamental rights hve been depived by such election  promises.

Thank you for your information.

I have one more query.

Suppose the party that promises wins and it does not full their promises.

Will it not amounts to cheating of entire citizens of the states/country?

Even this  is excused?

Is this our consitution?

There are so many abuses , that are also allowed!!! Daily we are watching.

So called law graduate, party president talk non-sense. Very sad state of affair.

Politician of this nature, how can they be model to the citizens and how can lead the country.

I deeply regret for the staus of our citizens.

Any way we do not have option, we need to live except  a very few people leave the country on the pretext of jobs and never return.

Thanks

Ramananda
