I am living in Bangalore from last few years , but all through my stay I have been residing on rented house. Here the trend is that the tenant has to pay advance amount that is equivalent to the rent of ten months. Also, after the rent has also to be paid in advance.
So, once the person leaves the house, he gets back the advance paid earlier without the interest added to it and a deduction of around a months rent. Though issues sometimes happens when landlords don't want to pay back the amount.
Well, my basic question is paying this much of advance is advisable and the landlords demand this much of amount of legal? Also, if it is illegal then how can one tackle this situation.
