Rent termination start/ end date confusion

Should 'one months rent termination notice' must start from the beginning/ end of a calendar month?  - let me explain the situation.

As per my rent agreement, either parities (tenant or landlord) can terminate the agreement 'any time' with one months notice. Does this mean a notice period must start from the beginning of a month (e.g. 01.01.2018) or may start from any date (e.g. 27.01.2018) and end after one months from the date of notice (i.e. 27.02.2018)?

My landlord (and the agent, whom he calls his Manager of property) insists on a termination based on a calendar month, although the rent agreement says 'any time' during the tenure. But I want to terminate the agreement one month from the day of my choice. Is it legally possible? Kindly advise.

you can terminate the agreement any time with one month notice of your choice. It cannot be termed as calender month unless specified otherwise elsewhere in the agreement.

Thank you so much Mr. Thakkar for your insights.
