I am lessee (shop) of a market complex of Hotel in Patna and the registered lease will expire in 2017. I have been the lessee since 1969 and the lease has been renewed number of times since 1969. Recently one shop with common wall with my shop has been vacated. I offered higher rent by personal meetings, sms and whats apps since it is adjacent to me. Yet the landlord executed registeredlease for 10 years with another shop keeper( My compititor) whose present shop is at a distance in the same market. Can I challenge the execution of lease since I should have been given oreference because of adjacent wall?
