Sale of residential flat to Co- owner.

Hi, I am a central govt. employee. I purchased a flat in 2004 and in the name of myself and in the name of my mother. All expenses (say  amount A)  are paid by me. Now my question is that could I sale this flat to my mother at the cost of amount A ? Is there any legal problem or any tax problem for me?

Dear Bharti,

there is no problems to execute any kind of deed to your mother

if at that time you purchased on joint name than moter is 50% owner even today so you need to sale balance 50% on her name that will save your stampduty & registrion charges.it will be half.
