Stopped Cheque

Hello Sir,

I have a company in Noida and my Client has Given me a post dated cheque which on presenting in the bank got Bounced due to unsufficient Funds then the Party had given me another cheque and I returned the earlier cheque which also got stopped.

Now position is that I dont have the first Cheque which was bounced due to unsufficient funds and I also dont have any Release Order of work from the party as well. I just have the cheque which was stopped by the party stating it as security cheque.

What can I do? Can I file case against the party in these circumstances?

Thank you

Hi

Can the Photocopy of the bounced cheque be used as the proof of evidence?

Is it mandatory for the case to be filed that the cheque should be bounced minimum 3 times before the case is registered?

Thank You
