The Excise Registration Certificate issued by the central excise department  under Rule 9 of the Central Excise Rules 2002 does not carry any Tariff Heading Number.  It specifies  only the category as Manufacturer or Depot ,  name and address of the business.     In order to avoid any litigation at the later stage,  you may intimate the central excise department for the additional ETH numbers you wish to add in your business.

E-mail address, phone numbers, investment, products, inputs etc. There will be frequent changes in these details. It will not be posible to inform in form A-1 if these changes are minor should be intimated to the department.

Remember tariff classification is not stated in the Regn Certificate, but the in the application for registration you have to mention the tariff numbers. in the case of any change/addition/deletion in the tariff numbers file another application for registration stating the changes you require. Your Regn, number will not be changed but the dept will take note of the modifications proposed by you.
