Title of the act

I have one basic doubt regarding the title of some acts in india. For instance some acts start with Indian, "Indian Contract Act' , "Indian Stamp Act" , "Indian Partnership Act" etc. but at the same time some acts have titled as Income tax act, Companies Act and so on. Is there any reason ? Can any one tell why Legislative has named some act like this ?
