My parents have expired. pl advise on how to transfer the property of parents through will. is probating the wil necessary in meerut. If not what are the charges to be paid while transfering the property to the family members(stamp duty, registration and other charges if any). Pl also tell the procedure.

In U.P. the probate of Will for immovable properties is not mandatory and you can just get the legal heirs certificate from D.M.'s Office and on the basis of the said certifiacte the proeprty can be transferred and in case you have any Will, the proeprty can be transferred on the basis of Will without probate.
