A workmen's compensation order can be challenged before a commissioner appointed by the state government, followed by a further appeal in the high court if not satisfied. This can be done under the Workmen's Compensation Act of 1923, which provides for payment of compensation to workmen or their dependents in the event of personal injury to the worker induced by an accident or specific occupational ailments arising out of and in the course of employment and resulting in disablement or death.
To answer your question specifically, the Workmen's Compensation Act of 1923 requires certain classes of employers to pay compensation to their employees who are injured in an accident. Therefore, the sec. 22 of the Workers' Compensation Act will apply. However, it cannot be challenged in a civil district court.I hope my response is helpful to you.
Thank You!
