Rent of cooperative club house

Respected Sir,

I stay in a co operative society which has around 300 houses or members. Can the Co-operative Society lent our club house on rent to anyone outside of the society in exchange of money?

It all depend on society resolution and bye laws that whether society can rent out society club house for money.

Yes.If the Rules and Regulations of the Byelaws of the Cooperative Housing Society permits.

1. Generally the facility is created in the Society for the benefit/use of members, until involved in renting out with the consent of GB/ Bye-Laws, although it is in violation of Cooperative Societies Act and Rules.
2. It is advisable to consult a local prudent lawyer with relevant facts/documents for appreciation, guidance and proceeding.
