How many members are there in the family besides your parents?
. If a person dies intestate, wife is at par with sons and daughters i.e the property is equally divided between the wife and the sons and daughters .
It is , however true that a person can bequeath his property to whomsoever he /she likes.
So that there is no unnecessary litigation after the demise of the testator ,it is desireable to get the Will registered

There are two things : 1) submitting to the pressurised demands of your wife; 2) giving away voluntarily by you to her due to love and affection.
In my opinion, you should avoid both the options for the present, retain the properties with you till your life time but make arrangements so she gets her due share in the property after your mortal period by executing a Will accordingly.
