25 march 1989 succession law

Respected members of this forum,

Does the women who are married before 25th March 1989, have equal rights to undivided ancestoral property ?

The reason i am asking is Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005, says women should be considered as a son in partitioning. So i'm little confused here!

Please help me to clarify the implications of the two laws put together.

Please note that my grandfather who owned this property died in 1991.

Section of Hindu Succession Act, 1956 )amendment 2005)  substituted by Act No. 39 of 2005, w.e.f. 9-9-2005. sub Section (5) Nothing contained in this section shall apply to a partition, which has been effected before the 20th day of December, 2004.
