One of my friend's husband is married to a girl at his young age. After not working their marriage they just burnt their marriage certificate and moved on. Both of them are married now. But after knowing this my friend is not feeling secured. My questions are...
1. Does my friend's marriage valid?
2. Is there any possibility in future that girl will come and ask for her rights?
Marriage is not valid in the eyes of law without giving divorce to first wife. But as the girl has also moved on and married another person without divorcing her husband, there is no question of claiming maintenance or whatsoever. Keep the proof of her marriage and possibly file a mutual divorce petition.
