"Section 498A of IPC, inserted in Chapter XXA of the IPC after the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1983, on December 25, 1983, vide Act No. 46 of 1983, was repealed “as the whole” by the Repealing and Amending Act, No. 19 of 1988, on March 31, 1988."

If this becomes true then what will be the fate of the dowry cases pending in the courts.

Sir what is the status of your  case?

now my case is also at evidence stage , notices are sent to wife for their apeearance but they are not coming next time we may send them bailable warrant....

today is the hearing date in SC. any news?

if this is an invalid law, what happens to all those 498a cases? are those abated becasue of invalid law?

does this mean we have won the battle? pl clarify

good for us. atleast we can still fight against the wife and demolish her allegations.

This is the fact that Govt. of India and Parliament of India are not interested to Repeal Family Breaking Law 498a IPC. 
According to the letter, issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. Of India on 15/12/2014 “Section 498A of IPC has become part and parcel of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, this Section still EXISTS. News published in various News Paper, TV Channel and popular websites are not true!
