A query

Hi,

My father is lessee of a ADDA plot with a built up area of 3300 sq ft at Bidhan Nagar, Durgapur. Now due to some family and financial emergency, we are planning to either sale of the property or sub-lease a certain portion. I am in dark about the laws pertaining to transfer of lease in full or part of this kind of properties. It is under the 999 yrs leasehold scheme of ADDA.

Actually I talked, in full confidence of my father with some party who is interested in the ground floor of the mentioned property. But I don't know whether it is legal to lease a part of the property in such procedure. If there is a procedure, what is the guideline?

Regards

Your transaction will be governed by the terms of lease deed under which you obtained the property. if it is silent you can not lease out without their permission.
