An interesting news got to read even though the news was quite older but this type of news and judgement need to be come out for every false cases filed by a wife on her husband and in-laws.
A woman who was told to pay Rs. 5 lakhs as a fine/compensation to Husband & in-laws after her false 498A. The whole accused went for rigorous harassment and image turmoil after filing of false 498A by A wife.
So after verdict and in a significant judgment, a local court had imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on a woman, who had made a frivolous complaint against her in-laws for dowry.
The Judicial Magistrate said many instances had come to light where the complainants were not bonafide and had been filed with an oblique motive. The magistrate termed the case as a classic example for such an instance.
