Abetment to suicide

Hi,

One of my friend married his long time girlfriend 4 yrs ago. Now the girl wants to get divorced and he is not willing for divorce. So she has filed some criminal cases against him to make him sign on the mutual divorce papers and once he signed on them she compromised the cases filed against him.

He was trying to convince her and get her back as he loves her very much but recently he found out that she has found a new guy and is moving around him. So he was very depressed and he told his wife that he would not give his consent in second motion that is due in next month and she said she would file 498a against him if he doesnt give her divorce.

Now he is very much depressed with the things going around and he feels that he is cheated and wants to teach her a lesson.

But soon he realized that there are so many laws in favour of women but there is no law that can do justice to men in cases like his from a cunning and cheating wife.

So he feels he would commit suicide and would mention his wifes name and her new boyfriends name as the primary reason for him to commit suicide. We have told him to calm down and also told him that she would not be arrested if he does that as he being a man will not be given any sympathy.

If his wife does that then he and whoever is thaught to be a cause for her suicde would be arrested but when a husband who is getting so much mental torture from his wife kills himself as he cannot take this sh*t anymore then y is the wife not being arrested or punished.

Please advice what needs to be done here. He is hell bent on teaching her a lesson.

He doesnt want her to be happy spoiling his life.

Nobody can force anyone to live with him/her without wish. If the lady has found another person it means marriage is already dead.
Ask your freind to move on!!

He should not agree for mutual divorce and should fight another criminal cases on its merrits. But This will make his life more complicated if she files cases like 498A

I agree with Rajan, he should divorce and move ahead in life.No need to waste time and energy for such a wife.

Take him to a psychologist to overcome his suicidal tendency.

Okay my friend has decided to fight the case on its merit. But he wants to know whether there are immediate arrests in case his wife files 498a case. He doesnt want his old parents to be troubled at this age.

I have heard that there are no immediate arrests in case of 498a in Andhra Pradesh.. how far is that true. If that is the case then he wants to fight the case and prove all her allegations wrong. He wants to teach her a lesson.

Please let us knw if there are immediate arrests in case of 498a being filed in Andhra Pradesh as his decision depends on your feedback.

Thanks in advance

Do not be so myopic, u r concentrating on IMMEDIATE ARREST only. See 498a et al is a big mess, very difficult to bear with. So even if there is no immediate arrest, its enough to spoil the life of all family members.

Better avoid this route if possible
