Accepting of gift

It is said if immovable property is gifted by a registered deed, the donee has to accept the gift so that the gift is complete and that without acceptance by donee, the gift is incomplete.

is the above correct. If it has be accepted by donee, how should the donee specify acceptance? Whether on the reverse of the regd. document itself or by a separate document?
