My friend's wofe has filed 498a, DV and family court cases against her husband. He got to pay maintenance in DV and family court. Now he got acquited in 498a case. There were 2 witness who falsely given statement and after cross it proved there statement not reliable.
Now what legal remedied he has against his wife. Defamation, Divorce or what?
What remedy is against the lier witnesses ?

Chapter X and XI of IPC for what is the legal recourse against witnesses who lie.Enforcement and prosecution however is rare.....I am not aware of a case on this...
But no harm in making a precedent is there ? And for sure it will be good for the legal system to have witnesses who are afraid of lying...

Can he use the acquital in 498A in his DV and Family Court case to get any releif. There was order in Dv court for 5000/- p.m maintenance and 5500/- in family court and he is paying the 5500/- pm. for wife and a child.
Can the maintenace in DV and Family Court can be removed by using aquital order of 498A in MM court?
