GOKULDAS KAMATH (EX BANKER)     01 January 2013

Action against bank officers association

I was a member of Bank officers Association and I was placed under suspension for 19 months and an inquiry was conducted against me and ultimately I was dismissed due to a conspiracy hatched by Association leaders to protect some individuals of thier choice.Association subscripttion was deducted from my subsistence allowance from the date of suspension till the date of dismissal order. In the inquiry proceedings,Association did not help me and did not provide me the assistance of an officer to defend me deliberately. While I have filed a writ petition in the high court of Karnataka against my dismissal order,I want to take this Association into task for not trying to protect the interest of  one of its members. One of the aims and objects of this Association is as under:-

c) To protect and promote the interests, rights and privileges

of the officers, in all matters relating to their emoluments,

bonus, service conditions, employment, retirement

benefits, housing, health and other amenities etc.; to

make representations to the authorities in this

connection and to take any other steps from time to time

necessary for the betterment of the Officers and for the

redress of their grievances and above all to base the

relations of the Officers with the Bank on principles of

human dignity and respect.

Kindly suggest me  what action can I take against this Association. If to be complained,to whom it is to be addressed

Would it be workable and possible to initiate proceedings to derecognize the association/union?

Valuable advice of learned experts/members is sought.
