Adultery is usually proved by circumstantial evidence . However forget any help from the police .
What you can try and do is to collect brought evidence to show that your wife and the other man were inside a room , by showing photographs and videos of them entering and coming out after a while . If you can manage to prove that fact properly , then the burden will shift upon your wife and the other man to establish as to what they were doing inside the room alone, as per section 106 evidence act. But that too willmonly benefit you marginally and that too in a divorce case where her conduct shall surely be taken into consideration. Even if you can't prove adultery , her meeting and spending intimate moments with other men within closed doors is surely an act of cruelty and hence shall be hd against her in court .
Try and collect cogent evidence .
