Advice needed for government job

Hi, My name is ragasudha and working as software employee in bangalore. Recently i have been selected for govt post in Andhra pradesh. I need to mention everything in attested form for police verification. 1 year back on June 14th '2015 complaint was given on my husband and on me, by his close friend and well known family friend since from 25 years in AP(Native place) . It's regarding a financial dispute between them and purposely and he mention my name as secondary accused. We went to police station and police people tried to solve amicably between us. But the complaintant (my husband friend) was not in a condition to listen to anyone and kept 420ipc. The police took our both of our signature and told we will process to court. He told us you can continue your jobs , since we are put up in bangalore. We got the court notice you need to attend on Apr 27th 2016. We went to court and judge asked both of our names and told to come on june10th 2016, in meantime they advised us to solve friendly since it is a financial dispute. On june 10th 2016 both the parties went to court and we to told judge , we solved our problem friendly and immediately transferred to lok adalat..Next day itself we comprised friendly in lok adalat. In the letter they mentioned the case is compounded u/sec 420ipc. My worry is do i need to mention about the lokadalat case in form, Since i am secondary accused.Kindly advice me.

Yes. You should.  Also attach a detailed note how a financial matter turned into criminal case and you were arrayed as second accused, but in mediation the matter was settled and now no more FIR, criminal case and criminal proceedings were pending against you.  If you conceal any information, it will adversely effect your new employment.  If you conceal this information, and later on in police verification it comes out, then the employer will terminate your services not for that you had undergone a criminal case under Section 420, but you concealed information about your criminal case and non-disclosure of full facts amount to moral turpitude and hence termination is justified.  Just any person files FIR against you does not make you criminal, but for becoming criminal conviction from the court is necessary.  In your case, court has not convicted.  Hence, you are innocent and entitled to all the jobs including Govt. Jobs.
