Age criteria for ssc exams

Respected Sir/ Madam,

In the SSC website, it is mentioned that the maximum age limit to apply for SSC exam is 27 years for unreserved category.

Since, i will be attaining the age of 27 in the coming October, will I be able to appear for SSC exam therafter in the unreserved category?

The age is counted as on August 01 in year of exam.

It is not a legal query.  It is query on fact. Please check with SSC. 

 

Generally one should be eligible on 1st January preceding the vacancy.

 

It is also not clear as to which examination you are talking about. SSC conducts many examinations.
