alimony

Alimony is the money which wife can claim from her husband upon his neglecting the wife to maintain, without any just and reasonable cause.  Wife can claim alimony under section 125 of CRPC and under Hindu adobtion and maintenace act.  She can also seek alimony under Domestic violence act.  Wife can seek joint alimony or seperate alimony.  However in later case she will have to prove the genuine cause for seperate maintenance.
