Could someone tell me if cases in the district courts and subordinate courts are allocated randomly to judges? Where can i find rules and procedures for allocation of cases to judges?
In Supreme Court and High Court, my understanding is that cases are allocated as per the roster. But in case there are two benches with the same subject matter, then are cases allotted randomly? (Prashant Bhushan mentions this in an article, but I'm not able to dind any official document that mentions random assignment of cases anywhere) Can someone please help?
