Your Highness,i got one matter pertaining to municipal taxes as per the maharashtra municpal act 1965.The issues are as follows:municipal council did the assessement for the year 1986 to 2006 and my client had paid the tax,later on municipal council was demanding the higher tax on the ground of reassessment for the period stated above.Municipal council demanding the taxes by giving the retrospective effect for the rate applicable in 2006.The factory was closed for the period of 20 years and now given on lease.please guide me that how to proceed with this critical matter.
