A private complaint under Negotiable Instruments Act instituted in 2000. The complainant claims to have received back the envelope carrying notice addressed to accused by RPAD and has produced the same with complaint. The other copy of the notice sent by UPC has also been claimed to have been received by the Complainant. Now the complainant claims that there was a typographical error in his complaint and desires to amend his complaint. Is it not a material amendment? Can such amendment be allowed ?
