Ancester's Property

Hi,

I am from Andhra Pradesh. I need some information on Land Registration. We have agricultural land and it was registered on my grand father's name. 6 years back, my grand father expired. My grand father have two sons. My question is, is there any problem if we keep all the agricultural land on my grand father's name itself, though he has died 6 years back.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Sankar Reddy

Dear Sahnker  Reddy !

The Patta of lands  is in the name of  Your Grand  Father - he died 6 years ago - your father and uncle have not made  parttion - they want to keep the Patta in the name of Your Grand Father ( Late )  - Untill You apply for Mutation of Patta in the name of your father and Unlce the Patta will nto be changed by Reveneu Authorities . There is no loss, if the patta is continued for some more time in the name of the Your Grand Father , But  the Possession must be recorded in the name of your father and Uncle - & You should pay the Land  Reveneu and other Cesss /Water Cahrges etc .

But  It is advised to take Steps to get the names of Your Father and Uncles mutated in the palce of your Gradn Father - to  have a proper  mutation after  the death of Your Grand Father
