Ancestral property

My great grand father purchased agricultural land. It was inherited by my paternal grand father who was his only heir. My grand father had two sons the younger being my father. Since the land was under lease it was not partitioned during the life time of my grand father, and my uncle and father. They all are dead now. What would be the character of the land now. It was my great grandfather's self acquired property and passed on to his son and then grandsons. We are the heirs of his sons. Will it be ancestral? Does not self acquired property of his father be the absolute property of my grandfather? So, from my grand father mine is third generation. Can it be ancestral? Does it not have to be 4 generations?
