Application/procedure for typo correction in order

Respected members

In a recent contempt case, honble high court passed an order for compliance and disposed the case.

The order copy has one typo error (it writes assistant in place of associate).

As there is no next hearing, what is the best way to request honble court to correct typo error.

Can i file a mention memo in the same bench, or is there any specific application.

I am petitioner in person, hence seeking guidance here.

2. Also, the court has disposed the matter before ensuring compliance. Is there a way to request the bench to continue the case till.comoliance is done, or i will have to file fresh contempt petition in case contemnor not complies.

Regards

Rajesh

File application under section 151 of cpc for correction of typing mistake in order in same bench of HC .

To rectify a typo error in a judgment order in India, you can apply to the court that issued the order under Section 152 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, to correct clerical or arithmetical mistakes, or errors arising from accidental slip or omission.

An application must be filed with the court that passed the judgment, decree, or order.

The application should clearly state the typo error and the correct version.

The court will then consider the application and, if satisfied, issue an order correcting the mistake.

Does it affect status of the case or "associate", if it is erronously mentioned as "assistant
