Are it professionals allowed legally to do amway business

Hello all,

I have this doubt on doing Amway business. I see lot of IT professionals claiming they earn thousands through Amway business in their free time along with thier job in software companies. The companies make us sign an agreement while joining, saying multiple employment is not permitted and what ever patents and ideas the empolyee submits during the period of employment will be company's property. If an employee starts doing Amway business and spends most of his time on that, is it legal to do so.

Thanks in advance for your response

If there is contract like what you told, then doing amway business is illegal.  Employer can take necessary action against such employee.  But most of them do such business in their family members name, if so it is not illegal.

I agree with Rajeev's point. Generally the employees who are having a good net work will only enter in to this type of business and the business like LIC & private insurance agencies and obviously they will be doing the business in their family members names only.

Even if the employer knows also he can't do any thing because it is not in the name of the employee. Amway business is much easier than the LIC & other insurance businesses because it is only a chain business.

In MLM one who has good network and networking skills can succeed. The investment is virtually nil and long term benefits are enormous. Like many other traders some come companies have come and have gone with the wind. Some companies have sustained and proved to be extremely successful e.g. Amway, AVON.......

Some of the individuals have been extremely successful with these companies including professionals like doctors, engineers, marketing guys, housewives.........Those who can utilize the primary market and then can tap the secondary market can be successful with such ventures.

The extra income adds to saving potential. The uncertainty in job, rising costs prompts employees to look for other avenues to augment their income.

An employer would not like to allow employee to be in any other venture than employment. Employee must not use office resources like, telephone, internet, and must not devote office hours for any other venture. Those who have succeeded may quit employment and be full time into successful MLM companies like Amway and at the same time build their assets thru wise investment in guarteed returns like precious metals e.g. gold, clear title property, Post office Instruments.....
