If you can honestly answer this I will tell you whom he should consult.

Amitabh Bachan was just an actor engaged in his profession. People who saw his films made him Shahen Shah. Politicians claim that they serve the people or that they want to serve the people. So they are public figures. An actor just does his chosen vocation. At the most they are passive public figures. They are not answerable to the public for things they do in their private life. And who is this idle farmer, Amitabh Bachan? I never knew he was or he is a farmer, idle or busy. Yes, he is a celebrity. And it is just another word for Shahenshah.

Does Amitabh Bachan belong to upper caste? To be best of my knowledge he is a Kayastha. He is neither a Brahmin, a Kshatriya nor a Vaishya. He is a Shudra belonging to the lowest of the four castes. How can you say he belongs to upper caste? If you want, you can also claim to be an upper caste, but at the cost of losing special reservations.

And who was Manu? Was he a historic person or a fictitious person? What did he preach and when did he live? Most of the people, who are stamped as Manuvadis, do not know the answer to any of the questions above. Only Mayavathi uses the word to get political mileage.

One of the things which Manu prohibited was inter-caste marriage, especially pratiloma marriage. But Yayati who was a Kshatriya, married Devayani, a Brahmin girl. No one punished him for that and he continued to be king. Lord Krishna was his descendant. Ramayana was said to be written by Valmiki. And who was Valmiki? He was a scheduled tribe man, who later became a Rishi. Again he defied Manu. Who was the author of Mahabharatha? It was Vedavyasa, son of a fisher-woman. He also defied Manu. Manuvadi is just a word of political abuse, which has no basis. Narendra Modi is caricatured as a bad man. He may really be a bad man. But Ratan Tata and Aziz Premji are willing to do business with him If Amitabh Bachan choses to do business with him that is his business. In any case today, if anyone wants to work for Gujarat’s good, they cannot do it ignoring Modi  .
