Bihar-based laywer pens 'Amitabh Chalisa'

a birthday gift to Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, a Bihar-based lawyer has scripted 'Amitabh Chalisa', a 40-verse compilation, praising the actor and his achievements. Ara-based advocate Sharad Kumar Singh has written the special hymn book, glorifying Big B's life. Bachchan turned 67 on Sunday. A 'Chalisa' is a special hymn in Hindu religion, which is dedicated to the God's praise. Singh, who considers himself an ardent fan of the Bollywood actor, said it took him three months to pen the 'Chalisa', which covers Amitabh's life, family and his four decades in Bollywood. "I have never met Amitabh Bachchan as I live in an obscure small town in Bihar's Bhojpur district, but admire him," he said. Amitabh is not the only well-known name to get a 'Chalisa', earlier, Bihar witnessed scripting of Chalisa in favour of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and chief minister Nitish Kumar.
