Birth certificate name wrong entry?

Hi,

My friend name is Venkatesh and he received the birth certificate as soon as he born with this name. Now when we asked the registration office to give a birth certificate. The name in the register is Venkateshan. Govt. entry has done the mistake. As he is going for higher studies, college need a recent birth certificate. How can we get with the birthcertificate with the certificate name?

You may approach the Birth certificate issueing authority with the proof and apply for a change as desired.

If u do not have any proof for the name , For name change one is required to:-
1. Execute a deed,
2. Publish in 3 prominent newspapers
3. Publish in gazzette for notification etc.

You should approach the Regisrar Birth & Death of u'r area & request him to change accordingly. As per his advice do as per Rule of Law. Prepare an Affidavit by the Notary Public regarding change of name & submit with an application before the Registrar Birth & Death.
