Bmc notice under section 354

Dear Sirs

We along with others residing in a tenanted property from 1970. We all have received notice under section 354 of mumbai municipal corporation act to vacate the our flats and move out.

What process of eviction on grounds that the building is unsafe and diliptated condition? What can we do to prevent this.

The landlord is not offering anything to us.

1.  IF the building structure is really unsafe & in a diliptated condition, THEN typically nothing can be done and the BMC has the upper hand.

ELSE
2.  Citing strong reasons, a stay can be obtained from the City Civil Courts, with plea to provide alternate accomodation till the dilapilated structure is repaired or rebuilt

What happens to the tenancy ? Should the landlord not provide alternative accomodation?

What happens if we want to do the repairs to the building ourelves with landlords permission via courts ofcourse. How long does this route take ? A few months?
