Dear respected experts and lawyers,
I have taken up a commercial property on lease in Andheri W, Mumbai. I have made it very clear in the agreement with my landlord that I will be making interiors (cabins) as per my requirements. This is almost at completion stage and there are NO structural changes made. The landlord has no problem with it either.
The BMC officers have come twice and taken away tools that were being used saying that we do not have permission to construct interiors. When I met them they had demanded a high bribe to sort out the issue.
What are the correct procedures? Whom do I approach? What permissions do I have to get and how? Are there any rules and laws mentioned anywhere on the web that I can read?
