Bulider's collaboration agreement

Dear respected experts,

I  have entered into "Collaboration agreement" with a builder on stamp paper of Rs. 50.00 attested by notary.Can you please help me know legal validity of this document.Does it going to make any difference if the said agreement is registered with a court?

Dear Amar,

 

The collaboration agreement should have been executed on Rs. 200/- stamp paper and not on Rs. 50/- Further, the Notary of the agreement does not mean that the court shall entertain the same while in dispute. it should have been registered.

 

It seems that the agreement was made by the Builder through his advocate. Therefore, it is advisable for you to take a legal opinion on the document before commencing the project.
