Business Agreement

Hello,

I own a company and we are into BPO services, We outsource projects to other company's across India and we draft the Service level agreement on 100/- rupees stamp paper and mutually sign and put our company seals. Is this sufficient to make it a legal document or do we need to register this? If we will have to register, what is the time frame to do so?

Please suggest...

Dear Ms. Swarna,

It is better to get registered. For all practical purposes a completed, signed, executed and witnessed SLA is a enforceable contract and has a binding force. For registered and unregistered documents kindly see sections 17 and 49 of Indian Registration Act.

Feel free to contact me, if you need further details.

Thanks
