We are a housing Society in Mumbai. A member of our Society wants to see the minutes of the General Body meetings and the Managing Committee meetings since the last 40 years. Since he lives in Kolkata he has authorized a lawyer to take inspection.
The Society wants to give inspection only to the member as bye law 23 makes no provision for giving inspection to any one other than the member.
Is the Society correct in ready to give inspection only to the member and refusing inspection to the lawyer without the member himself being present?
