Can a plot have different survey number in title doc & patta

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a flat in Chromepet, Chennai. The title documents of the property are clear, all the transfers from 1960 till date are good and EC matches with it.

There is a mention of survey number (29/1A1A/5A1A1A1B) with patta number in the documents (from transaction happened in 1978 and that is carried forward in 1990 transaction and no transaction after that). The copy of this patta is missing. The owner has got a new patta recently but the survery number in it is different (29/1A15A/1A1A1A1A/1A1A1A PART). The plot area and owner name is correct in that patta. The builder who acquired GPOA from owner has got all the necessary approvals using old Survey Number. Hence now the situation is all the documents and approvals are based on old survery number whose patta copy is missing and there is a new patta (SLR copy) with new survey number. Is it valid and acceptible? or any rectification possible?

If may some time happens that there are two numbers one old and other new. If you want to be sure about the new patta check the record with the revenue authority it will become clear.
