My friend runs a sole proprietorship. He wants to organize CSR activities. Is this something allowed for big corporations only or can sole proprietorship owners arrange CSR events too? He wants to contribute to development of a school where children from a nearby slum will be able to study for free. He wants to do it through his sole proprietorship.

He is at liberty to do so. Charitable or Social etc activities cannot be confined to Corporates. Any one with such pious motives are welcome.

intention of your friend is very appriciatable Becuse CSR main intention for improving social responsiblites to companies only.but you friend sole proprietorship is not compulsory to do social activities but as a good human being we are doing excelent. good guys keep it up................
